Published: June 18, 2024
With a statement on their official website, FC Midtjylland have announced the signing of Danish-Nigerian winger Julius Emefile.
Emefile has inked a three-year contract with FC Midtjylland, ending his association with FC Copenhagen in the process.
The 17-year-old has joined the Wolves after a remarkable season in which he mustered 14 goals in the U17 League.
Emefile will begin his career at Midtjylland with the U19 team and will resume training with his new teammates on July 15, 2024 when the academy have their first training session in preparation for the upcoming season.
He has been described as a dynamic, athletic and versatile player capable of performing in various offensive roles.
With a high level of technical skill, he excels at protecting the ball and turning it over, and he is proficient with both feet.
Emefile is delighted with his switch to FC Midtjylland and explained why he left FC Copenhagen.
"I have learned a lot during my time at FCK, and I appreciate that very much," he told the club's official website.
"But I wanted new challenges and there I had good talks with Midtjylland. The club's setup is really good and I really believe in the opportunities they offer. I am looking forward to getting started."
Stanley Iheanacho, Isa Abubakar Musa and James Arinze played for FC Midtjylland U19 team in 2023-2024.
