'I've seen so many sick players' - Tosin on outstanding Chelsea teammates, pre-season training, Maresca
Published: July 11, 2024
Tosin Adarabioyo, Chelsea's summer signing, commended Enzo Maresca for his meticulous approach to the start of pre-season training.
The ex-Fulham player revealed that the focus of the training has been primarily on ball work, with an emphasis on passing and maintaining possession.
In a post-training interview with Chelsea's YouTube channel, Tosin noted that he is adjusting smoothly to life at Chelsea and highlighted the significance of passing and ball control in Maresca's pre-season training philosophy.
"Yeah, very well. I am getting along with all the boys. We have two good sessions now and just enjoying the football," he stated.
"It's only been two days but you can see the detail that he wants to go into and see how important every single pass and touch is.
"Everything has been with the ball so far. We've done a few runs but, a lot of passing drills, a lot of possession.
"Pre-season is where the work is put in. That's where you get your foundation so pre-season is vital."
When asked about standout performers in recent training sessions, he responded, "That's a tough one. I've been out there and I've seen so many sick players, so just everyone to be honest, everyone's nice to play with so it's going to be a sick team."
"I cannot individualize anyone. Everyone's so technical, so good with the ball so I'm just looking forward to it."
The Manchester City academy graduate was impressed by the technical abilities of his new teammates.
He is determined to getting back at Stamford Bridge and winning as many games as possible.
