17yo Nigerian winger training with Newcastle United first team in Germany

English-born Nigerian winger Trevan Sanusi,17, has joined the Newcastle United first team for their pre-season training camp.
Eddie Howe is without a host of players including Bruno Guimarães, Kieran Trippier and Anthony Gordon who represented their countries in the just concluded European championship and Copa America respectively.
As a result, the English tactician has called up some youngsters which include Sansusi to join them in their preseason training camp which is taking place at the Adidas HomeGroup Training Facilities in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
Sanusi is highly rated by Newcastle and that informed their decision to sign him ahead of other high-profile suitors from Birmingham last summer.
While he trained with the first team last season, he didn't get his first team debut and is still plying his trade with the Magpies youth teams.
He made 12 appearances in the U18 Premier League last term and also broke into the development squad in January, making his debut against Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League 2.
He went on to make two other appearances including their huge loss against Chelsea where he scored the only goal before sustaining an injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Sanusi has signed his first professional contract with Newcastle United and will be hoping to continue his progression at the club.
