After Chido Obi-Martin, another Golden Eaglets-eligible player linked with Man Utd departs Arsenal

Arsenal have confirmed the new intake of academy scholars, with eleven promising teenagers signing scholarship forms.
As exclusively reported by allnigeriasoccer.com a week ago, history-making center forward Chido Obi-Martin has ended his stay at Arsenal, as the London club have now officially confirmed he's not among the first year scholars for the 2024-2025 season.
The Denmark U17 international of Nigerian descent set a club record as the top-scoring player in a single season in the U18 Premier League with 32 goals in eighteen matches over the course of the 2023-2024 season.
Everything points to the fact that Obi-Martin will join Manchester United as Jason Wilcox, their technical director, is using his strong ties to the striker's camp to facilitate the transfer.
Apart from Chido Obi-Martin, Arsenal have been unable to convince another talented Golden Eaglets-eligible player, Owen Asemota to commit his future to the club.
The England U16 goalkeeper has decided to embark on a new chapter in his career after rejecting a scholarship deal.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Aston Villa are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Asemota.
In his final season as a schoolboy, the 2008-born player appeared in three matches in the U18 Premier League.
As previously reported, Andre Annous, Ife Ibrahim, Joshua Ogunnaike and Samuel Onyekachukwu have all signed scholarship deals at Arsenal and have been promoted to the U18 squad for the 2024-2025 season.
