Petter Nosa Dahl: Winger eligible for Super Eagles through his mother joins KV Mechelen
Published: July 23, 2024
With a statement on their official website, Belgian Pro League club KV Mechelen have announced the signing of Norway U21 international of Nigerian descent, Petter Nosa Dahl.
The left winger has joined KV Mechelen from Norwegian club Bodo Glimt and has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with De Kakkers, until June 2028.
KV Mechelen showed interest in the forward after his brilliant displays during his stint with KFUM-Kameratene Oslo, where he registered 24 goal involvements (13 goals, 11 assist) in 67 all-competition appearances.
He has departed Bodo Glimt without making his senior debut but caught the eye for the reserve squad with four goals in five matches in the Norsk Tipping-Ligaen avdeling 5 - the fourth tier of Norwegian football.
Nosa is an attacking player with a good 1v1 action and he is versatile as he can play on both flanks.
After seeing the images of the AFAS Stadion, the Norwegian-Nigerian starlet was completely convinced about joining KV Mechelen.
Born to a Nigerian mother and Norwegian father, Nosa has a Nigerian passport as well.
He scored on his debut for Norway in a friendly against Romania in March 2023 and has two caps for the U21 team of the Scandinavians.
Nosa could make his competitive debut for KV Mechelen on July 26 when they visit the champions Club Brugge in their league opener.
