2017 Fifa U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner emerges as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur

2017 Fifa U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner, Dominic Solanke has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Thursday evening that Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a move for Bournemouth striker Solanke and highlighted that the Londoners have not yet made an official bid to the Cherries.
The one-cap England international, who remains eligible to sport the Super Eagles jersey, is coming off the back of a successful 2023-2024 campaign in which he tallied nineteen goals in thirty-eight top flight appearances.
Solanke was the top scoring player of Nigerian descent in the top five European Leagues in the past season.
And his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by top Premier League clubs who are keen to bolster their attack.
It would be a difficulty deal to pull off by Tottenham Hotspur as Solanke is the standout player in the Bournemouth squad, coupled with his price tag.
Despite the signings of Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is scouring the market for a proven goal scorer as a replacement for Harry Kane who ended his association with the Lilywhites last summer.
Chelsea academy graduate Solanke has a contract with Bournemouth until the end of the 2026-2027 season, having signed a new deal in September 2023.
Romano added that Spurs are also exploring options to bring in a new winger ahead of the forthcoming season,
