Rangers' brand new signing reveals the role played by Dessers in his move to Ibrox

Dutch defender Robin Pröpper has credited Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers with playing a pivotal role in his recent move to Rangers FC.
The 30-year-old defender, who was confirmed as a new Rangers player on Thursday, spoke candidly about Dessers' influence after his unveiling.
In quotes relayed by Rangers official website, he expressed that Dessers, his former teammate at Heracles Almelo, was instrumental in his decision to make the move to Glasgow.
"I was glad to hear about the club wanting to sign me. I always said I wanted to have a new adventure in another country and when a club like Rangers comes in for you it feels surreal. This club breathes football and you want to play your football here."
Dessers' endorsement of the club was a significant factor for Pröpper, who was considering several offers from other European teams.
"I spoke to Cyriel Dessers and Vaclav Cerny and they only had nice things to say about the club. It's nice to see some familiar faces," Pröpper continued.
"You hear about the Rangers fans and how it is here and I am really happy to be here."
Dessers joined Rangers from Cremonese in exchange for five million euros last summer, following the Grigiorossi's relegation to the Serie B.
In his first season at Ibrox, the Nigeria international directly participated in 31 goals (22 goals, 9 assists) in fifty four appearances across all competitions, but was criticized for his poor conversion rate.
Dessers has been linked with a departure from the Light Blues, with teams in Greece and Italy credited with an interest in the Belgium-eligible striker in the ongoing transfer window.
