Brandon Annous: Elder brother of Arsenal midfielder joins Hull City; started his career at Hale End
Published: August 05, 2024
With a statement on their official website, Championship club Hull City have announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Brandon Annous following a successful trial.
Brandon is the elder brother of versatile Arsenal midfielder Andre Annous, who put pen to paper on a scholarship deal with Arsenal last month.
After impressing the youth team coaches during his trial period, Brandon Annous was offered a one-year contract by the Tigers with a club option for the 2025-2026 season.
Featuring as a trialist, he showed his qualities in pre-season games against Fenerbahçe and North Ferriby.
Aged 18, Brandon is also a midfielder like his brother, Andre and is an Arsenal alum too, having started his career at the Hale End Academy, where he spent four years before moving on to pastures new.
After leaving Arsenal as a schoolboy, he had stops at MK Dons and Aldershot Town before transferring to Brentford at the beginning of the 2023-2024 season.
During his time at the Bees, he played for the youth team in the EFL Merit League 2, scoring in competitive games against Exeter City and MK Dons.
Annous also put his name on the scoresheet as Brentford played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Getafe in a friendly back in February.
The talented midfielder will be aiming to make his competitive debut for Hull City's development squad on August 14, 2024 when they take on Bournemouth on the opening day of the Professional Development League season.
