Nothing has changed regarding negotiation between Napoli and Chelsea for Osimhen
Published: August 06, 2024
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, there are no changes yet regarding the negotiation between Napoli and Chelsea for Victor Osimhen.
This follows a report that both clubs are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of the Super Eagles striker with Chelsea now looking for a way to reach personal agreement with him.
Osimhen is said to be holding for a €12m net salary and the Blues are said to be ready to be flexible with their wage structure to accommodate the star striker who the club also feel will improve their commercial appeal.
However, Romano has stated that the negotiation between the Blues and the Parthenopeans about the Super Eagles striker is still at a standstill.
He also made it known that the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner is not ready to reduce his salary to join Chelsea, which is not surprising because he has a personal agreement with PSG already.
Romano's report could be good news for PSG who are now on the verge of missing out on Manchester City striker Julián Álvarez who looks to be on his way to Atletico Madrid.
This might make the Ligue 1 giants resume negotiations with Napoli for the services of Osimhen who is open to joining the club.
