Iheanacho breaks his silence on departure from Leicester City with thanks to fans, ex-teammates, owner

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has finally sent his farewell to Leicester City after the completion of his move to Sevilla last week.
He joined Leicester City in 2017 for a reported £25m fee in what was at the time a record fee paid for a Nigerian player and had a fruitful stay with the former Premier League champions.
He made his first appearance for the club during a Premier League encounter against Arsenal but didn't bag his first league goal till October when the Foxes thrashed West Bromwich Albion 4-1 at the Hawthorns and scored just two more goals in that season.
The Nigerian forward played as a second fiddle to England international Jamie Vardy for most of his time at the King Power Stadium though was at times used alongside the former.
The 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner played a vital role for the club during their first-ever FA Cup triumph in the 2020/2021 season, scoring four goals in six games including a brace against Manchester United in the quarter-finals.
Iheanacho took to his Instagram account to bid farewell to his former teammates, Leicester City's owner and fans, adding that he would forever cherish the 2021 FA Cup triumph.
"Thank you for the 7 years we shared, I'll forever cherish our 2021 FA Cup win," Iheanacho posted.
"Thanks to the owners who brought me to the club, all of my teammates in those years and the amazing foxes fans!! All the best for the new season"
The 27-year-old's contract with the Foxes came to an end in June and decided to seek greener pastures which has now led him to a move to Sevilla.
He alongside Lucien Agoumé are the recent signings of the record UEFA Europa League champions who will be hoping to bounce back from last season's disappointment in the new campaign.
