Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal or Chelsea: Osimhen chooses his preferred destination
Published: August 15, 2024
Super Eagles star forward Victor Osimhen is not pushing for a move to the Premier League amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
As reported by Sky Sport Germany transfer reporter Florian Plettenberg, contrary to reports, the 25-year-old's priority isn't the Premier League but a return to the Ligue 1 to play for Paris Saint-Germain.
The Nigerian attacker reportedly favours a move to the French giants who at the moment can't step up their chase to get him if they don't offload either Randal Kolo Muani or Gonçalo Ramos.
This leaves Osimhen with the choice to join Chelsea who are trying to add him to their attacking ranks before the closure of the transfer window by taking advantage of Napoli's interest in Romelu Lukaku.
There have been reports stating that the Blues could offer Lukaku in a swap deal for the striker but that has not been confirmed from credible sources.
Plettenberg also stated that Arsenal made an approach to sign the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner some weeks ago but their interest isn't said to be serious.
The Napoli star has a huge valuation and it is highly unlikely that the North London club will sanction a move for him at this stage.
