2006 England POTY suggests Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd made a mistake not pursuing a deal for Solanke

2006 England Player of the Year Owen Hargreaves is surprised that top Premier League clubs did not attempt to sign Dominic Solanke.
Solanke made a move to Tottenham Hotspur after his release clause from Bournemouth was activated by the north London team.
Tottenham Hotspur completed the deal in a record-breaking transfer worth £65 million after his performance in the previous season.
Solanke impressed for the Cherries in the previous campaign, scoring 19 league goals in 38 appearances.
Speaking on the move, Hargreaves pointed out that clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea missed out by not pursuing the talented former Liverpool forward.
The former Manchester United midfielder expressed admiration for Solanke and shared his surprise that no other top Premier League teams sought to acquire him in response to the question about their striker requirements.
"I love Solanke. I'm amazed nobody else came for him," Hargreaves said during a Premier League Productions show, via TEAMtalk.
Additionally, Hargreaves hailed Solanke as a complete forward and predicted that he could challenge for the Golden Boot in the ongoing season.
“I think he’s the perfect centre-forward player. We mention size, speed, he has skill, he knows the Premier League, I think he will only get better and I think he will score more than he did against Bournemouth.
“If he starts well I think he could even compete for the Golden Boot.”
Tottenham Hotspur are set to kick off their Premier League campaign against Leicester City on Monday.
Meanwhile, Solanke will be hoping to make his debut and deliver a stellar performance to justify his transfer fee.
