After a failed deadline move to Glasgow Rangers, Southampton have loaned out Anglo-Nigerian forward Samuel Edozie to RSC Anderlecht.
Through a statement on their official website, the Belgian giants have confirmed the signing of the former Manchester City forward on a season-long-loan deal.
Edozie played a role in Southampton's return to the Premier League, registering six goals and three assists, though he was most often left out of the starting lineup by Martin Russell, starting just 16 games.
The 21-year-old has featured in three games this term but has started just once which was in the 5-3 victory over Cardiff City in the Second round of the Carabao Cup.
With game time being difficult to come by,the talented winger decided to seek game time elsewhere and was on the verge of joining Rangers on transfer deadline day in England but the deal fell through.
Anderlecht have decided to snap up the former Milwall youth player to boost their attacking options this term after missing out on the Jupiler Pro League last season to Royal Antwerp.
He can play anywhere in attack and can also play in the midfield, with his versatility set to be useful for Brian Riemer's side throughout the course of the campaign.
Edozie is the Purple and White's sixth signing of the summer, joining former Brentford defender Zanka, Aston Villa loanee Leander Dendoncker, Jan-Carlo Simić,Thomas Foket, Ludwig Augustinsson as the club's new arrivals.
