Samu Omorodion reacts to scoring his first goal for FC Porto after logging 27 minutes

It has taken Spain's 2024 Olympics gold medalist of Nigerian descent, Samuel Omorodion twenty-seven minutes to open his goalscoring account for FC Porto.
Less than a week before the close of the summer transfer window in the top five European leagues, the Super Eagles-eligible attacker completed a permanent transfer to Porto from Atlético de Madrid, signing a five-year contract with the Portuguese giants.
Omorodion made his debut off the bench as Porto were beaten 2-0 by Sporting in the last league game before the international break, playing for seventeen minutes at the Estádio José Alvalade.
Less than eleven minutes into his home debut at the Estádio do Dragão on Sunday, the dual-national center forward celebrated his first goal in FC Porto colours in a 2-1 win versus SC Farense.
Omorodion was on hand to tap home from close range after Argentinian midfielder Alan Varela had his shot parried by the SC Farense goalkeeper.
Speaking post-match, the former Granada youth teamer was delighted to score his first goal for Porto, adding that he was also very happy that his goal gave the Dragons a victory.
"I would like to thank all the fans who came to support us at the Dragão," Omorodion said to Porto's official website.
"I am very happy, first of all for the team’s victory. I would like to thank all the fans who came to support us at the Dragão.
"“It is an inexplicable feeling to play at the Dragão, in front of our fans. I am very happy with my first goal in an FC Porto jersey and for having contributed to the victory."
Thanks to Omorodion's match-winning strike, Porto sit second in the Liga Portugal standings with 12 points, three less than table toppers Sporting who have a one hundred percent record.
