Musa scores in his first appearance for Manchester United youth team since March 2024
Published: September 22, 2024
Dual-national striker Victor Musa returned to action for Manchester United as they registered an emphatic 4-0 win over Middlesbrough in an U18 Premier League game on Saturday.
Before the trip to Middlesbrough, he had not figured for the Red Devils teams since March 2024 when he scored and assisted in a 5-2 win against Blackburn Rovers U18s.
Gabriele Biancheri's seventh minute strike got the ball rolling as United went into the break a goal up.
Manchester United dominated the second half and it took them seven minutes to double the advantage thanks to Biancheri, before Musa hopped off the bench to replace the Welshman in the 67th minute.
Less than twelve minutes after his introduction, the Spanish-Nigerian forward made things sweeter for the Manchester club as he increased their lead, firing in via the post to make it 3-0.
Bendito Mantato rounded off the rout in the 90th minute as United continued their perfect start to the 2024-2025 season.
The 18-year-old Musa is in the second year of his scholarship at Manchester United and will be aiming to sign his first professional contract before the end of the current season.
He has now tallied thirteen goals in thirty-six appearances in the U18 Premier League.
The promising striker has also featured in the FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2.
