A day after Napoli confirmed the signing of Olamide Adugbe, the former NWFL Premiership star made her competitive debut for Italian club Napoli.
Her transfer to the Tartarughine was completed in time, making her available for the matchday four Serie A fixture between AS Roma and Napoli.
The Rivers Angels alum played her first game in the Serie A Femminile as Napoli were beaten 3-1 by defending champions AS Roma at Stadio Tre Fontane in Rome on Sunday afternoon.
Wearing the number 17 jersey on the back of her jersey, Adugbe came off the bench in the 58th minute to replace
Manuela Sciabica.
The outcome of the game was all but decided at the point the Napoli manager brought on the Nigerian as Roma were three goals up, with Evelyne Viens getting on the scoresheet and Manuela Giugliano netting a brace.
In the 80th minute, Michela Giordano reduced the deficit, assisted by Adugbe.
Born in 2003, Adugbe was cautioned three minutes into her debut for Napoli Femminile.
After four matches in the Serie A Femminile, Napoli are seventh in the 10-team table, with three points from their opening four games.
Adugbe will be hoping to make her home debut for her new employer on Sunday, October 6 when they take on AC Milan in the league.
