Anderlecht, Slavia Prague, 7 other clubs interested in Kalmar's 18yo Nigerian center back

Relegated Swedish club Kalmar FF could sell talented Nigerian central defender Vince Osuji in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Swedish sports newspaper Sportbladet is reporting that several European clubs are interested in signing Osuji, seven months after his arrival at Kalmar FF from Nigerian grassroots club De Cardinal Football Academy.
The 18-year-old was one of the few bright spots in a disappointing season for Kalmar, starting fifteen games from a possible eighteen in the Swedish Allvenskan.
He scored his first professional goal as Kalmar were held to a 2-2 draw by Malmo in August 2024.
His outstanding performances have not gone unnoticed, with several foreign teams, including Anderlecht, Slavia Prague and seven other clubs battling to sign the center back.
Osuji was invited to trial at Kalmar after being scouted by Peter Swärdh and was offered a contract after impressing during the trial.
He has been described as a fast and physically strong center back with very good game perception and passing game.
Former Flying Eagles central defender Igoh Ogbu is on the books of Slavia Prague, while midfielder Ishaq Abdulrazak has been loaned out by Anderlecht to Norwegian outfit Odds Ballklubb.
Vince Osuji has a contract with Kalmar until the end of the 2028 season.
