Done deal: Arsenal academy product Oyegoke departs Hearts for Hellas Verona
Published: January 28, 2025
Through official channels, Italian Serie A club Hellas Verona have confirmed the signing of Arsenal academy product Daniel Oyegoke on a permanent basis.
The defender has departed Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian for an undisclosed fee, subject to Scottish FA approval and international clearance.
Oyegoke has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at Hellas Verona through the end of the 2027-2028 season.
Born in Barnet to Nigerian parents, Oyegoke began his career with the youth team of hometown club Barnet, before transferring to Arsenal, where he made 33 appearances in the Under 18 Premier League, FA Youth Cup, EFL Trophy and Premier League 2.
After rejecting a new contract at Arsenal, he moved to Brentford in July 2021 and spent time on loan at Milton Keynes Dons and Bradford City while at the Bees.
Last summer, he joined Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, where he played nineteen matches and scored one goal.
While in Edinburgh, the right-back also made his debut in European competitions, appearing in one Europa League preliminary match and five in the Conference League.
Verona are 17th in the Serie A standings with twenty points from twenty-two games.
