Musa: Striker eligible for Nigeria, Spain scores double hat-trick for Man Utd U18s in 13-1 win v Leeds
Published: April 05, 2025
Victor Musa was the standout performer as Manchester United beat Leeds United 13-1 in an U18 Premier League fixture held at Aon Training Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The former Spain U16 international, who is eligible to play for Nigeria through his father, registered six goals and provided an assist in the victory over Leeds United.
Musa needed just two minutes to break the deadlock, lashing home the rebound after seeing his penalty saved by goalkeeper Oliver Wood.
The 18-year-old doubled Manchester United's lead inside eight minutes with a left-footed strike and bagged a hat-trick with thirteen and a half minutes played.
With his confidence sky high, Musa scored his fourth of the afternoon at minute 17 and his fifth came in the 25 minute, meaning he was averaging a goal every five minutes.
A hat-trick from Jim Thwaites saw the Red Devils lead Leeds United by 8-0 and Musa increased the lead just before halftime when he volleyed home.
In the second half, James Bailey, Daniel Armer and JJ Gabriel (2) were on target for the home team, while Kenneth Mensah pulled one back for the visitors.
Musa has fourteen goal involvements (11 goals, 3 assists) to his name in this season's U18 Premier League and has made appearances in the Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League, EFL Trophy and FA Youth Cup.
The 18-year-old is in the second year of his scholarship with Manchester United, whom he joined in the summer of 2021.
