Premier League confirm Nottingham Forest have extended contract of Super Eagles defender
Published: June 10, 2025
Through the official website, the Premier League have suggested that Nottingham Forest have extended the contract of versatile Super Eagles defender Ola Aina.
The two-time European champions submitted their retained list to the Premier League before the deadline, with the Chelsea academy graduate among those retained for the 2025–2026 season.
Nottingham Forest activated a one-year extension in Ola Aina’s contract in May 2024, keeping him at the City Ground until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
With the new agreement between club and player covering next season, Forest have extended his stay at Nottingham until at least June 30, 2026.
Since the former Torino man joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, he has established himself as a key player and caught the eye as they qualified for next season's UEFA Conference League.
The 28-year-old appeared in thirty-five Premier League matches last term, all of which he started, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
Ola Aina has been linked with possible moves to Manchester City and Galatasaray, and it remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest will fend off interest from the European giants this summer.
