Through a statement on the official website, Swiss Challenge League side Neuchatel Xamax have announced that former Nigeria U20 international Paschal Onyekachi Durugbor has left the club after just one season.
Onyekachi has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Neuchatel Xamax.
Having joined the three-time Super League champions in the summer of 2024, the 25-year-old went on to make 20 appearances in the second tier of Swiss football, scoring four times and setting up two more.
Onyekachi was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad at the 2019 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, featuring in three matches and was on target in the shootout loss to Mali in the semifinals.
Known for his versatility, Paschal is capable of operating as a centre forward as well as on either wing.
His European journey began with Swedish outfit Vaxjo BK, followed by stints in North Africa with AS Soliman in Tunisia and Al-Khums SC in Libya.
On his curriculum vitae, the forward also lists 1472 FC and Sporting Lagos as his former clubs.
Former Super Eagles forwards Brown Ideye and Samuel Kalu previously represented Neuchatel Xamax.
