ANTHONY UJAH To Remain With Cologne Until Summer
Published: December 23, 2012
Despite the need for offensive reinforcements in the January transfer window, Bundesliga club Mainz 05 will not recall Anthony Ujah from his loan spell at Cologne.
Ujah joined traditional German team Cologne in the summer transfer market due to his lack of first team opportunities at Mainz. And since then, the former Lillestrom hero has been a big hit, scoring 7 goals in 15 appearances for The Billy Goats.
"We will not try to retrieve Anthony prematurely. He will come back in the summer. I've always said, when the boy gets to play and practice, he also scores goals,'' manager Christian Heidel was quoted as saying by liga-zwei.de.
Anthony Ujah has notched 4 goals in his last 5 appearances in Germany's second - tier.
