Anthony Ujah Disappointed With Three - Month Goal Drought
Published: March 07, 2013
Anthony Ujah's goalscoring drought was extended last weekend against FSV Frankfurt. The 22 - year - old has not scored in the last seven games in the 2 Bundesliga.
The goals were flowing for Ujah at the beginning of the season. Now, he is under self imposed pressure to increase his tally of 7 goals, with his last strike coming mid December.
''I don't know where my happiness has gone. I have not scored since the 18th round, and also the 1- 1 draw with Frankfurt empty handed.
''This is a phase through which every striker needs once. But I have experienced it in my career before. I hope that it will soon be over,'' the ex Lillestrom star told express.de.
While Ujah has lost his striker's instincts, Cologne after a dismal start to the season are now one of the candidates to be promoted to the Bundesliga.
Currently placed fourth in the championship, the Billy Goats have chalked up 11 points from their last 5 games.
