Navina Omilade Announces Retirement

Germany Female National Team player Navina Omilade, who has Nigerian blood flowing in her veins, has officially announced her retirement from football.
Despite offers from home and abroad, the 31 - year - old Wolfsburg defender, who represented Germany 61 times, wants to focus on her studies and spend more time with her husband, ex Hockey international Florian Keller.
'' The thesis I have already started, in July I write the final exams.
''In December 2012, I got married, now I would like to have a bit more time to spend with my husband.
''In addition, our honeymoon is still pending,'' says Omilade to waz-online.de.
Omilade has spent the last six seasons with VfL Wolfsburg. She also played for Grün-Weiß Brauweiler, FFC Brauweiler Pulheim and FFC Turbine Potsdam .
