Owomoyela Nearing Full Fitness

Patrick Owomoyela has not played for Borussia Dortmund this season due to injury problems. In fact, his last game in Germany's top flight was against Kaiserslautern on April 28, 2012.
The 33 - year - old defender in an interview with German media had disclosed that he is close to full fitness and could be available for selection in the last few games in the Bundesliga.
Owomoyela told Bild: ''The first team practice is gradually coming into sight. If everything goes perfectly, I can play in the season's final matches, maybe once or twice in the squad. At least that is my great hope. "
Owomoyela's contract with Borussia Dortmund will run out at the end of the current campaign.
Born in Hamburg to a Nigerian father and German mother, he has suited up 76 times for Borussia Dortmund since his arrival five years ago.
