Asec Mimosas Threaten To Report Olanrewaju Kayode To Fifa
Published: April 01, 2013
Ivorian powerhouse Asec Mimosas have threatened to report Flying Eagles attacker Olanrewaju Kayode to world football governing body, Fifa for not honoring his contract, which expires next year, writes MTNFootball.com.
Kayode has failed to rejoin Mimosas since his loan deal expired with Swiss Super League side FC Lucerne.
Instead, he has been globetrotting looking for a new team, an adventure that has taken him to England (Charlton Athletic), Belarus (Dinamo Minsk) and Tunisia ( Etoile du Sahel).
''Asec have informed us that Kayode still has a valid contract with them till next year.
''They have also told us that they expected the player back after his loan spell in Switzerland with FC Lucerne, but instead what they have heard is that the player has been undergoing trials in Europe.
''They have said they will ask for an outright ban on the player by FIFA if he fails to rejoin them,'' an official of the Nigeria Federation, who craved for anonymity, told MTNFootball.
While Al Ahly are rumored to be interested in Olanrewaju Kayode, the player says he has not been offered a contract by the Egyptian club.
