Celtic are close to completing a loan deal for Chelsea youngster Landon Emenalo, with the 18-year-old expected to move to the Scottish giants on loan for the remainder of the 2026-2027 season, according to Sky Sports UK.
Born in Arizona, United States, the versatile fullback is the son of former Super Eagles defender and Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, who impressed at the 1994 World Cup as cover for the injured Benedict Iroha.
Celtic and Chelsea are finalising the details of a straight loan agreement that will see Emenalo provide cover for experienced left-back Kieran Tierney.
Landon was promoted to first-team training during pre-season preparations, where he showcased his versatility and composure despite his young age.
The England U19 international featured in the friendly against Western Sydney Wanderers, playing 63 minutes in Chelsea's 6-4 victory.
Emenalo is capable of operating both as a left-back and in midfield, giving Celtic manager Martin O'Neill another option across two positions.
The teenager is currently recovering from a knock suffered during Chelsea training earlier this summer but he's expected to complete the move before the transfer window closes for business.
He has received three call-ups for competitive matches played by the Blues but has yet to make his senior debut for the Premier League giants.
