Belgian champions Club Brugge have reached an agreement with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to sign Wisdom Mike during the current summer window, according to Sky Germany transfer market expert Florian Plettenberg.
Mike enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Bayern Munich’s youth side, which earned him an opportunity to make several appearances for the first team last season.
The exciting winger featured in four Bundesliga matches against Werder Bremen, Freiburg, Heidenheim and Wolfsburg before a hip injury halted his progress during the final months of the campaign.
His impressive performances and cameo appearances for the first team attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, with Club Brugge now reportedly close to securing his signature before the close of the summer window.
The young talent first caught the attention of the Belgian champions during a UEFA Champions League encounter, where he made his debut in the competition.
Despite making a brief appearance, Mike showed glimpses of his qualities towards the end of the match as Bayern Munich secured a comfortable 4-0 victory.
The Belgian champions are reportedly set to pay a fixed fee of €5 million (approximately N7.9 billion in Nigerian currency) plus add-ons, while Bayern Munich will retain a sell-on clause to maintain an interest in the future of the young forward.
With the deal now subject to a medical, Mike is expected to sign a three-year contract with Club Brugge that will keep him at the Belgian club until the summer of 2029.
