Plymouth Argyle manager Tom Cleverley has provided an update on the fitness of Super Eagles forward Owen Oseni ahead of the clash against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The Nigeria international, who enjoyed an excellent campaign last season, has missed Plymouth’s opening two competitive matches against Exeter City and Stockport.
Oseni was a key figure for the club last season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 27 league appearances.
Speaking ahead of the league encounter against Wycombe, Cleverley provided an update on several players, including the Nigerian forward.
"Positive news is Caleb Watts will be back in the squad,” Cleverley said via Plymouth Herald. “Jack MacKenzie is close, should be available to select against Bradford.”
The former Manchester United midfielder also revealed that Oseni and Freddie Issaka are still some time away from returning to action.
"Owen Oseni and Freddie Issaka another week closer - probably a couple of weeks off for those two guys. Michael Baidoo is the long-term absence.”
Oseni’s absence will be a huge miss for Plymouth as they look to secure their first victory of the 2026/2027 campaign.
The Nigerian forward will now be keen to recover fully from his injury and return to the squad as soon as possible, following his impressive performances for the club last season.
