After spending the last 5 years with Newcastle United, Anglo - Nigerian striker Sammy Ameobi may depart the club in the summer transfer market due to his lack of first team opportunities.
Newcastle Chronicle says Bolton Wanderers, relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, are interested in 21 - year - old this summer.
If Newcastle United sanction Ameobi's departure, he will spend the first half of the season on loan at Bolton.
Sammy Ameobi has played 27 matches for The Magpies since he made his debut against Chelsea three years ago.
His contract with Newcastle United expires in June 2015.
