Chuba Akpom Scores In Rout Of Indonesia Dream Team

Chuba Akpom was amongst the goalscorers as a strong second half performance saw Arsenal defeat the Indonesia Dream Team 7 - 0 on Sunday at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta.

Manager Arsene Wenger named the 17 - year - old Anglo - Nigerian forward in his starting eleven and the youngster repaid the faith shown in him, netting in the 54th minute of the encounter after receiving a cross from Serge Gnabry.

Olivier Giroud, with a brace, Theo Walcott,  Lukas Podolski, Kris Olsson and Thomas Eisfeld were also on the score-sheet for the Gunners.

Another Anglo - Nigerian striker Chuks Aneke was introduced at the start of the second half but fired blanks.

Indonesia international Victor Igbonefo , who has Nigeria blood flowing in his veins, was on parade for Indonesia Dream Team.

Arsenal , who are touring Asia as part of their pre - season build up, will lock horns with Vietnam on Wednesday, July 17.
