Published: July 15, 2013
Beijing Guoan have climbed to third on the Chinese Super League table following their 3 - 1 victory over Wuhan Zall at the Workers Stadium on Sunday in the 17th round of matches.
New recruit Peter Utaka started the game from the bench but was introduced by manager Stanojevi in the 66th minute, replacing the Mali icon Frederic Kanoute in attack.
Though the Nigeria international was not amongst the scorers, he created an assist for Zhang Xiaobin with only five minutes remaining.
''I came to a new team and need time to adapt. Maybe, the next game I score a goal.
''I want to score every game, but if I'm in a bad position, I would pass the ball to someone else,'' Peter Utaka was quoted as saying by Beijing News.
In the next round of games in the Super League, the capital team will travel to face log leaders Guangzhou Evergrande on July 31.
