Samuel Monday Ayinoko Delighted To Open His Goal Account
Published: July 21, 2013
Samuel Monday Ayinoko has expressed delight at scoring his first goal of the season for Swedish club ängelholm.
The 19 - year - old midfielder netted in the 26th minute as ängelholm defeated Assyriska 4 - 0 in the 15th round of matches.
Before the league went on break, a groin injury had limited Ayinoko's appearance, with the youngster having just 2 matches under his belt.
''It was my first start this year and also my first goal. I couldn't have asked for more, so happy to open my goalscoring account.
''I had a left groin injury and suffered a relapse. This slowed me down in the first round.
''But I am fine now and want to fight my way back into the team with God's help,'' Ayinoko, who played for the youth team of Benfica before his switch to ängelholm, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Samuel Monday Ayinoko has admitted that ängelholm struggled in the first round. Now the team is targeting points for late push towards promotion.
''If we win all the games in this second round then we will be promoted.
''The first round was not too good for the team, playing well but losing games. I believe this second round will be great for us.
''We work as a team now, much more focused. We are on the right track now,'' he added.
Monday Ayinoko's contract with ängelholm expires at the end of the 2014 season.
