Published: July 25, 2013
Besiktas have contacted assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi to convince Uwa Elderson Echiejile to sign for the Istanbul side this summer, according to Turkish sports daily Fanatik.
The 25 - year - old's contract with Sporting Braga expires at the end of next season, specifically June 2014, and the Portuguese side would be willing to trade him if his valuation of three million euros is met by any suitor.
Amokachi, a one time Besiktas player , has given positive recommendations to the Besiktas brass , and most importantly has advised Echiejile to consider the proposal from the club.
Sporting Braga have rejected several offers for Echiejile because the bids were below his three million euros valuation.
Norwich (England) and Stuttgart (Germany) are believed to be in the running for the signature of Elderson Echiejile.
