With a statement on its official website, Turkish First League side Karsiyaka has announced the signing of free agent Chikeluba Ofoedu.<br /><br />The 20 - year - old striker underwent a medical examination on Friday before penning a two - year contract with the club located in Izmir.<br /><br />Chikeluba Ofoedu has experience playing in Turkey, having defended the colors of 1461 Trabzon last season. <br /><br />Though he impressed , with 7 goals in 25 matches, the leadership of 1461 Trabzon did not offer him a permanent contract at the end of the 2012 - 2013 campaign.<br /><br />Ofoedu, regarded as the next Obafemi Martins , is expected to join the training camp of Karsiyaka in Bolu in the coming days.<br /><br />Karsiyaka finished ninth in the First League last season.<br /><br />Photo Credit : ksk.org.tr<br /><br />
