Spartak Moscow Icon, Valery Kechinov: Emenike Was Spartak's Number One Striker
Published: August 07, 2013
Former Spartak Moscow Valery Kechinov , who won the Russian Premier League six times with the red and white , has commented on the transfer of Emmanuel Emenike to Fenerbahce.
'' Clearly, the striker Emenike was number one in Spartak, he - the player is very good.
'' I believe that his departure - a loss for the club. In the first four rounds Emenike was the best striker in Spartak Moscow but we hope that Movsisyan will replace him,'' says Valery Kechinov to championat.com.
Spartak Moscow have been linked with several strikers, aware that the club could lose Emenike in the summer transfer market.
'' I think Lacina Traore could help Spartak. He is a good striker.
'' Oscar Cardozo from Benfica - strong attacker, too, would come in handy,'' he added.
Emmanuel Emenike is expected to sign a four - year contract with the Yellow Canaries if he passes his medical examination.
