Visa Hitch Keeps Panathinaikos Target Abdul Ajagun In South Africa
Published: August 17, 2013
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria Under 20 international Abdul Ajagun is still in South Africa awaiting the outcome of his visa application to the Greece embassy located in 1267 Pretorius Street, Hadefields Office Park, Pretoria.
Abdul Ajagun submitted the visa application to the embassy on Monday, August 12 and won't board the plane to Athens until he gets the green-light from the officials.
Unfortunately, some sort of delays were experienced because August 15 was an important public holiday in Greece, Assumption or Dormition of the Holy Virgin.
Note that in South Africa, Schengen visas normally take about 5-7 working days to process.
Hopefully, all will be sorted out early next week and Ajagun can leave for Greece, where he is expected to pen a four - year contract with Panathinaikos.
Abdul Ajagun will be missing from the stands on Sunday when The Greens host Panaitolikos in one of the first round games in the Super League.
