Roda Can Only Sign Uche Nwofor On Loan
Published: August 20, 2013
Dutch club Roda JC may have pulled out of the race to permanently acquire Nigeria international Uche Nwofor.
It was widely believed that Roda were in pole position to sign the 21 - year - old attacker as he does not have enough caps to qualify for a work permit in the United Kingdom.
Now Roda, through the general manager Marcel van den Bunder, have admitted that their treasury is empty and would only be interested if VVV Venlo agree to a loan deal.
'' We have no money. We have done so much on the transfer market. The bottom of the purse is in sight .
'' If there are possibilities that he will play football for a year, at Roda that way then we are certainly interested,'' Elf Voetbal with reference to L1 quoted Marcel van den Bunder as saying.
