Published: August 24, 2013
Joseph Akpala has returned to Bremen after trialling with Championship outfit Reading for about a week.
According to a press release by The Royals, the club will make a decision on whether the attacker will be offered a contract before the close of the summer transfer market on September 2nd.
'' We've had an opportunity to take a good look at him this week, he's an international football player whoã¢â‚¬â„¢s played in the Bundesliga.
"ã¢â He's got a scoring pedigree in Belgium before that, it hasn't worked out as well as it could have in Germany at this moment in time, and like I say he's a player we've had an opportunity to take a look at,'' manager Nigel Adkins told readingfc.co.uk.
Joseph Akpala , 27 today, is not in the plans of manager Robin Dutt this season, and he trained with the Werder Bremen reserve team on Saturday morning at Weserstadion.
He still has a contract with The Green - Whites until the summer of 2016.
