Bastia Ready To Challenge Red Star Belgrade For Signature Of Sunday Mba

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that both Bastia and Red Star Belgrade will go head-to-head for the signature of Nigeria international Sunday Mba.

The attacking midfielder's profile has risen big time since he shot into the limelight following his imperious display at February's African Cup of Nations, where he netted twice against Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso.

So much so, Sunday Mba , 24 , was courted by clubs in Ukraine ( Karpaty Lviv) and Romania (CFR Cluj) but the ownership tussle between Enugu Rangers and Warri Wolves threw the spanner in the works.

In the last few days, the most concrete interest for Mba's signature has come from Serbians Red Star Belgrade, who have tabled an official bid of 250,000 euros.

But the 1991 European champions face competition from Ligue 1. Bastia are in contact with representatives of the Enugu Rangers ace, and are believed to be preparing an undisclosed bid.
