Brown Ideye On Target As Dynamo Kiev Win
Published: August 29, 2013
Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev are through to the group stage of the Europa League following their 8-3 aggregate victory over Aktobe , the conquerors of Akeem Latifu's Hodd.
Today's match was played without spectators as Europe's governing body UEFA had sanctioned Dynamo Kiev due to the racist behavior of fans in last year's Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain and the Europa League match against Bordeaux.
The Kievites defeated Aktobe 5 - 1 in the second leg final qualifying round played at Olympic Stadium, Kiev, with goals from Jermain Lens, Roman Bezus, Demersi Mbokani, Brown Ideye and Oleg Gusev.
Alexander Geynrikh netted a consolation goal for the Kazakhstan club from the penalty spot in the 37th minute.
The draw for the group stage of the Europa League will be conducted on Friday, August 30.
