Aaron Samuel's Late Goal Hands Sarpsborg First Win Since June
Published: September 01, 2013
A late goal from Aaron Samuel in the 90th minute handed Sarpsborg their first win in eight matches.
Before today's meeting Brian Deane's side had lost their last 8 games in the Tippeligaen .
'' This is a very important win for us. And it showed our test of character coming from a goal down to win 2 - 1.
'' Of course, I am delighted to have scored but this was a team effort. If you had asked me before the game to choose between three points or my goal, I would have preferred the win.
'' This victory will help us boost our self - confidence and I believe we can avoid relegation,'' an elated Aaron Samuel told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Sarpsborg 08 now have 20 points from 22 matches. In the next round, the ã£â¸stfold county based outfit visit Sandnes Ulf.
