Chukwu Ndukwe Cautions Eagles Against Complacency
Published: September 23, 2013
Former Nigeria international Chukwu Ndukwe has shared his thoughts and impressions on the upcoming World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on October 12th.
In a chat with Brila FM, the ex Udoji striker said : “I don’t think we should regard Ethiopia as minnows as we don’t have any again in African football.
“For Ethiopia to have gotten a 3- point sanction from FIFA for fielding an ineligible player and still qualify topping their group, surely it won’t be easy but I think with the quality of players that we have, we should be able to go through.”
In case you were not aware, Chukwu Ndukwe forever etched his name in Super Eagles folklore after scoring in the 2000 African Cup of Nations final against Cameroon.
Amongst others, he defended the colors of Mamelodi Sundowns, Bari and Rizespor.
