Peter Utaka has scored 12 times this season, a tally which is 7 short of the 19 goals he bagged last season for Dalian Aerbin.
In the 26th round of matches in the Chinese Super League, the Super Eagles forward netted a brace as Beijing Guoan defeated Shanghai Shenhua 2 - 0 at the Workers Stadium.
“Every striker wants more goals to help the team today scored two goals, I am very pleased, not only for myself, but also for our whole team,” Peter Utaka said to Beijing News.
Since his arrival at Beijing Guoan, the 29 - year - old has notched up 5 goals in 8 games.
The capital side occupy the third position in the standings with 43 points.
