Danish Federation Pardons Izunna Uzochukwu
Published: October 10, 2013
FC Midtjylland defensive midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu has been pardoned by the Danish Federation following his dismissal in the latest round of games in the Superliga.
Recall that the Nigerian was shown a second yellow card in the second half of the encounter against FCV, but referee Dennis Mogensen admitted it was an error in his match report.
“That in this situation ought not to be judged a foul committed by IU and that consequently, in this situation ought not to be awarded a caution to IU.”
The Danish Federation has studied the match report and ruled that Izunna will not be awarded points for the second yellow card.
However, he was awarded points for his earlier yellow card and thus misses the next game with Randers.
