Stephen Keshi Names Starting Eleven
Published: October 13, 2013
Manager Stephen Keshi is not letting the away game factor affect his starting lineup for Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
Like the game against Malawi in Calabar, Keshi will stick to the same 4 - 3 - 3 formation. And that means, there are no personnel changes in defense , midfield and attack.
Stand - in skipper Vincent Enyeama retains his place in goal while Oboabona, Egwuekwe, Ambrose and Echiejile have the green-light to man the defense.
Surprisingly Brescia’s Nnamdi Oduamadi is favored to start ahead of Betis midfielder Nosa Igiebor. He is supported in midfield by two stalwarts - Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel and Eddy Onazi of Lazio.
Nigeria’s attacking threat will come from Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa.
Confirmed Starting Eleven
Enyeama; Ambrose, Oboabona, Egwuekwe, Echiejile; Mikel, Onazi, Oduamadi; Moses, Emenike and Musa
