Published: October 14, 2013
Nigeria marksman Emmanuel Emenike has dedicated his brace against Ethiopia on Sunday to motherless babies and his family.
The 26 - year - old’s goals in the 67th and 90th minute means he has now scored 8 goals this calender year for the African champions.
And that surpasses the 4 goals Villarreal attacker Ikechukwu Uche scored throughout 2012 for the Super Eagles.
“I’m dedicating my first goal to my family and the second one is for the motherless babies homes .
“We will go for the return leg and play to win also. We will not defend, it’s our home ground and we have to win not draw.
“I just want Nigerians to keep on supporting us that we will not let them down,” Emmanuel Emenike was quoted as saying by sportsdayonline.com.
While Emenike is firing on all cylinders for the Nigeria selection, he has failed to open his Fenerbahce goal account after 8 matches for the club.
