Sani Lulu To Contest For 2014 NFF Presidency

Former NFF President Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi has signified his intention to contest for the Presidency of the Federation in the 2014 Election.
According to Lulu this is in response to various calls from the football stakeholders that he returns to the position he was forceful impeached in 2010.
Quoting his words, the former FCT Director of Sports said “once again I have to answer to the clarion call. It is a call to national duty.
“Football is a game I love with all passion, and my achievements when I was the NFF President from 2006-2010 before I was forceful impeached from office are still very visible.
“If Nigerians have realized the positive contributions I made towards the game of football in the country, and they want me to return to my former position, then, I have no option to oblige to their request” he said.
Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi tenure as the NFF President witnessed an unprecedented development of grassroot football in country starting from the Under-13 in 2007.
It was also at that period that the country national team witnessed was rated 9th among the football playing countries in the
world.
All the various national teams also qualified for all the FIFA organized competition, with Brazil been the only other country with such a record.
Since his forceful removal from office, Lulu has devoted all his time in the development of his pet project, FOSLA Academy where he awards scholarship to naturally endowed players to further their academics while pursuing their football career, starting from the Junior Secondary School.
Over 50 youths from the ages of 13 years are currently enjoying scholarship at FOSLA Academy, Karshi- Abuja.
