Obafemi Martins Reveals Inter Chief Massimo Moratti Gave Him Cash When He Lost Dad
Published: October 29, 2013
Seattle Sounders attacker Obafemi Martins has commented on the decision of Massimo Moratti to sell majority of his stake at Inter Milan to Erick Thohir.
“He has been a great president, was very kind to me and has done so much for so many players. Wish him the best, as he has done to me.
“When my father died, he gave me some money to go to Nigeria and join my family.
“I was very young, but this is something priceless. Was not required to do so, it was not necessary and it is a gesture that I will remember forever,” Martins said to Tuttomercatoweb.com.
