Nigeria have qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing Fifa Under 17 World Cup after thrashing Iran 4 - 1 at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Tuesday evening.<br /><br />The Golden Eaglets underlined their credentials as one of the favorites to win the tournament for a fourth time by netting three first half goals.<br /><br />Samuel Okon opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 23rd minute after an assist from Musa Yahaya.<br /><br />Then , Arsenal target Kelechi Iheanacho added a second on 25 minutes to take his tally to five goals in the tournament.<br /><br />Skipper Musa Mohammed was also on target with only 2 minutes left before the end of the first half.<br /><br />In the 76th minute, Musa Yahaya scored the fourth goal for the Eaglets as well as his fourth of the tourney.<br /><br />Iranian substitute Ali Gholizadeh grabbed a late goal for the Asians with 6 minutes left to play.<br /><br />Nigeria will now meet Uruguay in one of the quarter final matches on Saturday, November 2.<br /><br />Photo Credit : fifa.com<br />
